The Conference
The AORTIC International Cancer Conference — hosted by the African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer — is Africa's leading oncology and cancer research conference, confirmed for 6–9 November 2027 in Nairobi. It brings together oncologists, researchers and public health leaders from across the continent to share research and shape cancer policy for Africa. For anyone in healthcare, oncology or public health, it's the essential gathering in the field.

DAY 1 Fri 5 Nov
Touchdown in Nairobi
A short flight into Nairobi, landing in the afternoon. A private transfer takes you out to Maanzoni Lodge — a savannah retreat on the fringes of the city, giraffe and zebra visible on the ranch as you arrive. Settle in, then a welcome dinner with the Neza Connect group under the stars.

AORTIC Opens
A transfer into the city for AORTIC's opening day — oncologists and researchers from across Africa sharing the latest in cancer care and research. Spend the day in sessions and side conversations. This evening, dinner back at the lodge, comparing notes on the day's research over a properly relaxed setting.

Deeper Into AORTIC
Day two of the conference — more research presentations and policy discussions shaping the continent's cancer strategy. Evening free at the lodge — the pool, the gardens, or simply resting up after a full day of sessions.

AORTIC Continues
Another full day of sessions in the city. Tonight, the group gathers back at Maanzoni for dinner, the savannah quiet settling in as the sun goes down over the ranch.

AORTIC Closes
The final day of AORTIC — closing sessions and last conversations before delegates scatter home across the continent. Tonight, the group celebrates with a farewell dinner at the lodge, toasting a conference well attended.

Nairobi City Tour
Badges off, into Nairobi itself. A half-day city tour takes in the capital's highlights before returning to the lodge for the evening. Dinner tonight back at Maanzoni, the pace properly slowing down.
DAY 7 Thu 11 Nov
Nairobi National Park
A morning game drive through Nairobi National Park — lions, rhino and giraffe against a backdrop of the city skyline, one of the only places in the world where that's possible. Farewell dinner tonight, last stories from the week before everyone heads home.
DAY 8 Fri 12 Nov
Homeward Bound
Breakfast at leisure, then a transfer to the airport for your return flight to Entebbe — landing home with new research contacts and a week that mixed serious medical work with genuine rest.

Maanzoni is a proper escape — a 10,000-acre ranch in the Lukenya savannah with zebra, giraffe and eland roaming the grounds, a genuinely different pace from a standard city-centre conference hotel. After long days of oncology sessions, this setting gives the trip room to breathe in a way a downtown tower simply can't.
Rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned, DSTV and private verandas as standard, set across leafy grounds built for both business and relaxation.
