NEZA CONNECT
GITEX Africa 2027
Marrakech, Morocco | 24 April – 1 May 2027 | 6 nights
For three days every April, Marrakech becomes Africa's biggest tech stage — 32,000+ founders, investors and builders in one city. This is the trip where you spend your days chasing that energy, and your evenings in the winding alleys and rooftop terraces of the Red City.
The Conference
GITEX Africa is the continent's largest tech and startup show, confirmed for 26–28 April 2027 at Place Bab Jdid, Marrakech — bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, AI companies and government tech leaders from across Africa and beyond. For East African founders and tech leaders, it's the single biggest concentration of African tech capital and talent on the calendar.
Conference entrance fee is not included in this package. Delegate passes are booked directly with the organiser — choose your pass type and register here: gitexafrica.com/register →
Your Day-by-Day
DAY 1 Sat 24 Apr
Touchdown in Marrakech
Fly via Doha into Marrakech, landing in the afternoon with the Atlas Mountains visible in the distance. A private transfer takes you to ibis Marrakech Centre Gare. Settle in, then a welcome dinner with the Neza Connect group — first taste of Moroccan tagine before the show begins.
DAY 2 Sun 25 Apr
Settling In
A free day to find your feet in Marrakech before GITEX opens — perhaps a wander toward Gueliz's cafés, or simply resting up after the flight. Dinner tonight is low-key, the calm before three intense days on the show floor.
DAY 3 Mon 26 Apr
GITEX Africa Opens
A short drive to Place Bab Jdid for GITEX Africa's opening day — 32,000+ attendees, government tech leaders and Africa's biggest startup ecosystem all under one roof. Spend the day on the exhibition floor and in the AI, fintech and connectivity sessions. This evening, dinner as a group in the Gueliz district, comparing notes on the day's best pitches.
DAY 4 Tue 27 Apr
Deeper Into GITEX
Day two brings the deal-room energy — investor meetings, side conversations, and the startups worth watching. Tonight, the group heads into the Medina for dinner — a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque as the call to prayer echoes across the old city.
DAY 5 Wed 28 Apr
GITEX Africa Closes
The final day of GITEX Africa — closing keynotes and last conversations before delegates from across the continent scatter home. Tonight, the group celebrates with a farewell dinner, toasting a show well attended.
DAY 6 Thu 29 Apr
Marrakech Highlights City Tour
Badges off, into the Red City properly. A guided city tour with a local guide takes in the Medina's souks, the Bahia Palace, and Jemaa el-Fnaa square as it comes alive in the late afternoon — snake charmers, food stalls, and the best people-watching in Morocco. Dinner tonight in the heart of the action.
DAY 7 Fri 30 Apr
Quad Bikes: Desert & Palmeraie
A change of pace — a quad bike experience through the desert terrain and palm groves of the Palmeraie just outside the city. Dust, adrenaline and views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance. Farewell dinner tonight back in Marrakech, last stories from the week before everyone heads home.
DAY 8 Sat 1 May
Homeward Bound
Breakfast at leisure, then a transfer to the airport for your flights home via Doha — landing back with new African tech contacts and a week in one of the continent's most atmospheric cities.
Where You'll Stay
ibis Marrakech Centre Gare
3-Star · Gueliz District
ibis Centre Gare sits in Gueliz, Marrakech's more modern quarter, right next to the train station — an easy, well-connected base for a GITEX week that has you moving between the show venue, the Medina and the new town. It's a straightforward, comfortable hotel that does exactly what you need after a long day on a conference floor.
Rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and reliable Wi-Fi — no frills, just what's needed to recharge before the next day of sessions. The hotel's garden terrace and outdoor pool are a welcome way to unwind, and the buffet breakfast sets you up properly before a full day at GITEX.
It's also a good jumping-off point for both the show and the city — Jemaa el-Fnaa and the Medina are a short drive away, close enough for easy evenings out.
✈ Distance to venue: approx. 2–3 km from Place Bab Jdid, the GITEX Africa venue — about a 10–15 minute drive from the Gueliz district, easy enough to share transfers with your Neza Connect group each morning.
