Mining Indaba 2027
Cape Town, South Africa | 7 – 14 February 2027 | 7 nights
For a week every February, Cape Town becomes the centre of the mining investment world — and Table Mountain watches over it all. This is the trip where your days are spent in rooms with the people who move African mining capital, and your evenings belong to one of the most beautiful cities on the continent.
The Conference
Mining Indaba is the world's largest mining investment conference focused on Africa, confirmed for 8–11 February 2027 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Thousands of mining executives, investors, governments and financiers gather to strike deals and set the tone for the year ahead across the continent's mining sector — essential ground for anyone in mining, energy, or resource finance.
Conference entrance fee is not included in this package. Delegate passes are booked directly with the organiser — choose your pass type and register here: miningindaba.com/register →
Your Day-by-Day
DAY 1 Sun 7 Feb
Touchdown in Cape Town
Land into Cape Town as the late afternoon light hits Table Mountain, then a private transfer to SunSquare Cape Town City Bowl — right in the heart of the city. Settle in, then head up to the hotel's rooftop for a welcome dinner with sweeping views over the City Bowl as the sun goes down on your first evening.
DAY 2 Mon 8 Feb
Indaba Opens
A short walk to the CTICC for Mining Indaba's opening day — keynotes from the continent's biggest mining players, government ministers, and the investors who fund it all. Spend the day on the exhibition floor and in deal-room conversations. This evening, dinner as a group in the City Bowl, comparing notes on the day's biggest announcements.
DAY 3 Tue 9 Feb
Deeper Into the Indaba
Day two brings the sessions that matter most — project financing, ESG in African mining, and the deals quietly being struck on the sidelines. Evening free to explore the City Bowl's restaurant scene with your Neza Connect group, or simply unwind after a full day of sessions.
DAY 4 Wed 10 Feb
Indaba Continues
Another full day of panels and networking on the Indaba floor. Tonight, the group heads out for dinner with a view — Cape Town's restaurant scene rivals any city in the world, and there's no better place to close out a heavy conference day.
DAY 5 Thu 11 Feb
Indaba Closes
The final day of Mining Indaba — closing keynotes and last conversations before delegates scatter home across the continent and beyond. Tonight, the group celebrates with a farewell dinner, toasting an Indaba well attended.
DAY 6 Fri 12 Feb
City Tour & Table Mountain
Badges off, out into the city. A half-day guided tour takes in Cape Town's highlights before heading up Table Mountain by cable car — one of the world's great views, weather permitting, with the whole peninsula spread out below. As the sun sets, the group boards a boat for a sunset cruise along the Atlantic coastline, drinks in hand as the sky turns pink over the ocean.
DAY 7 Sat 13 Feb
Full Day: Cape Peninsula
A full-day tour down the Cape Peninsula — Chapman's Peak Drive hugging the cliffs, the penguins at Boulders Beach, and the dramatic scenery of Cape Point where two oceans meet. Dinner tonight is a farewell affair back in the City Bowl — last stories from the Indaba, plans made to meet again at the next Neza Connect departure.
DAY 8 Sun 14 Feb
Homeward Bound
Breakfast at leisure, then a private transfer to the airport for your flights home via Nairobi — landing back with new deal contacts, sharp market insight, and memories of one of Africa's most striking cities.
Where You'll Stay
SunSquare Cape Town City Bowl
4-Star · City Bowl, Cape Town
SunSquare sits right in the heart of the City Bowl, on the corner of Buitengracht and Strand — the kind of central, walkable location that makes a conference week feel effortless. This is a hotel designed with a sleek, modern edge, and its 14 Stories Rooftop Bar has quickly become one of Cape Town's best sundowner spots, with views stretching over the city towards Table Mountain and the harbour.
Rooms are contemporary and comfortable, with city, harbour or Table Mountain views depending on your floor, air conditioning, and all the little essentials — mini fridge, flat-screen TV, electronic safe — that make a longer conference stay easy. Vigour & Verve downstairs handles breakfast, lunch and dinner with an easy local-and-international menu.
It also puts you within walking distance of trendy Bree Street's restaurants and bars, so the evenings you're not on a group excursion, Cape Town's best dining is right outside your door.
