The Conference

PI Africa — the Pension Funds and Alternative Investments Africa Conference — is the continent's leading gathering for institutional investors, pension fund trustees and alternative asset managers, confirmed for 17–18 March 2027 at the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa. Now in its 10th edition, it's where Africa's long-term capital allocators compare notes on where the next decade of returns will come from.

Your Day-by-Day

DAY 1     Tue 16 Mar

Touchdown in Mauritius

Fly via Nairobi into Mauritius, landing late as the island settles into evening. A private transfer takes you to Anelia Resort & Spa in Flic-en-Flac — beachfront, and already a world away from the office. Drop your bags and step onto the sand for a first look at your week ahead.

DAY 2     Wed 17 Mar

PI Africa Opens

A short transfer to the Hilton Mauritius for PI Africa's opening day — pension fund trustees, alternative asset managers and institutional investors from across the continent comparing notes on where long-term African capital is headed. Spend the day in sessions and side conversations. This evening, dinner as a group back at Anelia, beachfront with the sound of the waves.

DAY 3     Thu 18 Mar

PI Africa Closes

The conference's final day — closing panels and the last round of introductions before delegates scatter back across the continent. Tonight, the group celebrates with a farewell dinner at the resort, toasting a conference well attended before the island properly opens up tomorrow.

DAY 4     Fri 19 Mar

Île aux Cerfs Catamaran Day

Badges off, out onto the water. A full-day shared catamaran sail to Île aux Cerfs — one of Mauritius' most beautiful islets — with a BBQ lunch and drinks included as you sail past some of the island's best coastline. This is the day the trip stops feeling like a conference.

DAY 5     Sat 20 Mar

Port Louis & the North

A full-day trip to Port Louis and the island's northern highlights — the capital's markets and colonial architecture, followed by the beaches and coastal villages of the north. Dinner tonight back at Anelia, a relaxed evening after a full day of exploring.

DAY 6     Sun 21 Mar

Island at Your Pace

A free day to make Mauritius your own — the resort's pools, the beach right outside your room, or a spa treatment to properly unwind. In the evening, a farewell group dinner — last conversations from the conference, contacts exchanged, plans made for the next Neza Connect departure.

DAY 7     Mon 22 Mar

Homeward Bound

Breakfast at leisure, then a transfer to the airport for your flights home via Nairobi — landing back with new institutional investment contacts, and a week on a tropical island that somehow doubled as work.
