NEZA CONNECT
World Government Summit 2027
Dubai, UAE | 31 January – 6 February 2027 | 6 nights
Every February, Dubai becomes the meeting point for the people actually deciding what governments do next — heads of state, ministers, and the policy minds behind them. This is the trip where you sit in that room, then spend your evenings in a city built entirely around ambition, alongside a crew of fellow East African professionals doing the exact same thing.
The Conference
The World Governments Summit is one of the world's largest gatherings on the future of governance — 2027 marks its confirmed return to Dubai from 1–3 February, bringing together heads of state, ministers, global institutions and private-sector leaders from over 150 countries to shape policy on everything from AI regulation to urban futures. For professionals in policy, public sector innovation, or government-adjacent business, it's simply one of the most influential rooms on the calendar.
Conference entrance fee is not included in this package. Delegate passes are booked directly with the organiser — choose your pass type and register here: worldgovernmentsummit.org/register →
Your Day-by-Day
DAY 1 Sun 31 Jan
Touchdown in Dubai
Land into Dubai International as evening settles over the city, then a private transfer to Rove City Centre in Deira — old Dubai, right on Dubai Creek. Settle in, then head down to The Daily for a relaxed welcome dinner with the rest of your Neza Connect group. No rush tonight; the Summit opens tomorrow.
DAY 2 Mon 1 Feb
Summit Opens at Madinat Jumeirah
A morning transfer across the city to Madinat Jumeirah for the World Governments Summit's opening day — heads of state and ministers on stage, five main themes running across the halls. Spend the day moving between plenaries and the innovation exhibits. Back at the hotel this evening, unwind over drinks with the group, comparing notes on the day's biggest ideas.
DAY 3 Tue 2 Feb
Deeper Into the Summit
Day two brings the sessions that matter most for policy and public-sector innovation — deep dives into AI governance, urban futures and economic prosperity. Tonight, the group heads out to old Dubai for dinner among the gold and spice souks of Deira, a short stroll from the hotel — a proper contrast to the polish of Madinat Jumeirah earlier that day.
DAY 4 Wed 3 Feb
Summit Closes
The Summit's final day — closing keynotes, last conversations before delegates from 150+ countries scatter home. Tonight, badges off, the group celebrates with a farewell dinner back near the hotel, toasting a Summit well attended.
DAY 5 Thu 4 Feb
Desert Safari & Dinner
The city gives way to dunes this afternoon on a Dubai Desert Safari — dune-bashing, camel rides and a Bedouin-style camp as the sun sets over the sand. Dinner is served under the stars, with traditional entertainment and shisha to close out the evening.
DAY 6 Fri 5 Feb
Dubai City Tour & Lotus Yacht Cruise
A guided Dubai City Tour by day — Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and the striking contrast between old Deira and new Downtown Dubai. As evening falls, the group boards the Lotus Yacht for a cruise along Dubai's coastline, dinner and drinks on deck as the Marina skyline lights up around you — a fitting last big night together.
DAY 7 Sat 6 Feb
Homeward Bound
Breakfast at leisure, then a private transfer to the airport for your return flight to Entebbe — landing home with a stack of new contacts, sharp policy thinking, and a phone full of photos that have nothing to do with spreadsheets.
Where You'll Stay
Rove City Centre, Deira
3-Star · Deira, Dubai Creek
Rove is Dubai's answer to stylish, no-nonsense city stays — bright, design-forward rooms without the price tag of the five-star towers, and Rove City Centre puts you in Deira, the oldest and most character-filled part of the city. This is old Dubai: Dubai Creek right outside, the gold and spice souks a short walk away, and a version of the city that feels a world apart from the glass towers most visitors only ever see.
Rooms are compact but well designed — comfortable beds, big flat-screens, fast Wi-Fi and the little extras Rove is known for, all wrapped in a fresh, colourful aesthetic that feels more boutique than budget. Downstairs, The Daily serves easy all-day dining, and the outdoor pool is a welcome way to unwind after a full day of summit sessions.
It also puts you close to the Dubai Metro, so getting anywhere in the city — old or new — is simple and quick.
✈ Distance to venue: approx. 20–25 km from Madinat Jumeirah, the World Governments Summit venue — around 25–30 minutes by road depending on Dubai traffic. Rove City Centre trades a short commute for old-Dubai character on Dubai Creek; we build extra buffer time into summit mornings to make sure the group arrives comfortably on time.
