You have four days. Zanzibar has everything.
This is the long weekend you've been promising yourself — the one where you actually go. White sand, turquoise water, dolphins at sea, turtles in a cave lagoon, and Stone Town's thousand-year-old streets. Four days that will feel like ten. And you're home by Sunday.
Thursday, 08 October
Kenya Airways lifts you out of Entebbe at 9:40am, connects through Nairobi, and has you on the island by 1:50pm. Afternoon light. Ocean breeze. The kind of arrival that makes you exhale before you've even checked in.
Flights: Entebbe (09:40) → Nairobi (10:55) → Zanzibar (13:50)
A private transfer delivers you to Sunset Kendwa Beach Hotel — your home for the next three nights, sitting directly on the famous white-sand beaches of Kendwa. The Indian Ocean is right there. Go in.
Friday, 09 October
Some mornings you wake up knowing today is going to be different. This is one of them.
A short boat ride takes you out to Mnemba Island — one of the most celebrated snorkelling spots in East Africa, ringed by coral reefs that teem with colour and life. Tropical fish in every direction. Rays gliding beneath you. And if the ocean is generous today — and it often is — wild dolphins swimming alongside your vessel, close enough to feel real.
You'll snorkel in waters so clear the reef seems painted. Lunch is served on the water. The ride back to shore is quiet in the best possible way.

Saturday, 10 October
Zanzibar is not one island. It is many — and today you visit three of its most extraordinary faces.
The morning begins in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that hasn't forgotten what it is. Narrow coral-stone alleyways. Carved wooden doors that tell the history of the families behind them. The ghost of the spice trade still fragrant in every courtyard.
At the Spice Market, your guide walks you through cloves, cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon — the roots of Zanzibar's ancient economy, still present in every handful. Take some home. You'll remember this day every time you cook.
Then the afternoon delivers something genuinely rare.
Salaam Cave — Maalum Cave is a natural cave lagoon hidden in the interior of the island, where wild sea turtles have made their home in crystal-clear freshwater. You swim among them. Not in a tank. Not in a resort pool. In their place, in their water, on their terms. The photographs will not fully capture it. But you will never forget it.
✦ Lunch included
Sunday, 11 October
One final breakfast as the sound of waves sets the tempo. A slow walk on the sand. Then your transfer carries you to the airport and Kenya Airways brings you home — back in Entebbe by 2:05pm, just in time to remember that real life exists.
Flights: Zanzibar (10:10) → Nairobi (11:30) → Entebbe (14:05)
You'll arrive home a little quieter. A little lighter. Already planning the next one.
