Day 1 — Arrival: Let the Island Find You

Tuesday, 22 July

Your journey begins at Entebbe, where Kenya Airways carries you via Nairobi to the shores of the Indian Ocean. By early afternoon, you're on the island.

Flights: Entebbe (09:40) → Nairobi (10:55) → Zanzibar (13:50)

A private transfer meets you at the airport and delivers you straight to Sunset Kendwa Beach Hotel — your home for the next four nights, sitting right on the famous white sands of Kendwa Beach, where the water is the kind of blue that looks edited. Check in. Change. Walk barefoot to the water's edge. Tonight belongs to you.

Day 2 — Mnemba Island: Where the Ocean Opens Up

This is the day you'll talk about for months.

A short boat ride takes you out to Mnemba Island — a private coral atoll surrounded by some of the clearest water in East Africa. This is where Zanzibar keeps its secrets: a thriving reef, schools of tropical fish moving like living colour, and if the ocean is feeling generous, wild dolphins swimming alongside your vessel.

You'll snorkel in waters so clear you can see the coral from the surface. Lunch is served on the water before you make your way back to shore, sun-warm and quietly astonished.

Day 3 — Stone Town & Spice Market: History You Can Taste

Zanzibar is not just a beach. It is a civilisation — layered, aromatic, and unlike anywhere else on the continent.

Your guide leads you through the narrow coral-stone streets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Arab, Persian, Indian and Swahili cultures have been weaving together for centuries. Carved wooden doors. Rooftop terraces. The call to prayer echoing across terracotta rooftops.

At the Spice Market, your senses take over — cloves, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon. Zanzibar built its economy on these spices once, and the market still carries that history in every handful.

Then something unexpected: a submarine boat experience, gliding just beneath the ocean's surface for a glimpse of the underwater world without the wetsuit.

Day 4 — Full Moon Party: The Night Zanzibar Comes Alive

Once a month, Kendwa Beach transforms.

The Full Moon Party is legendary along the East African coast — an open-air celebration on the sand, with the Indian Ocean as your backdrop and the full moon rising over it all. Music, dancing, warm night air, and the kind of evening that doesn't need a plan. Your entrance is included. The memory is yours to keep.

The morning is free — sleep in, swim, order a coconut at the beach bar. This day belongs entirely to you.

Day 5 — Departure: Back to Real Life (Briefly)

Sunday, 26 July

The island gives you one last morning breakfast with the sound of waves before your transfer to the airport.

Flights: Zanzibar (10:10) → Nairobi (11:30) → Entebbe (14:05)

You'll land back in Uganda a little quieter, a little saltier, and already wondering when you can go back.
